Prof. Tanel Kerikmäe
Prof. Tanel Kerikmäe is a well-known international lawyer and EU scholar. He is a Jean Monnet professor in European Law and a director of Tallinn Law School, Tallinn University of Technology. Prof. Kerikmäe is a board member of several high-ranked law journals, chief-editor of Baltic Journal of European Studies and an author of more than 150 articles and publications e.g. published by Ashgate, Martinus Nijhoff, Kluwer, Cambridge Press, Peter Lang, Lexis Nexis, Springer etc. Tanel Kerikmäe has been active as an expert related to lagislative drafting and institutional reforms for public and private institutions, international organizations. He has been invited as EU key expert in Central Asia as a head of the component of constitutional law. He has been teaching and supervising students and training academic staff at several universities e.g. in United Kingdom, Latvia, Switzerland, Japan, Columbia, Cambodia, and is related to international research cooperation networks such as International Association of Law School or Folke Bernadotte Academy. Currently, prof. Kerikmäe is responsible for several projects such as development aid projects to raise competitiveness in Moldova, Georgia, and ASEAN countries. Prof. Kerikmäe is fluent in estonian, english and russian languages.
