Dublin City University

Dublin City University (DCU) is a young university – founded in 1980 – but is in the top 50 of almost 5000 universities under 50 years of age in the QS global university rankings. DCU hosts the national Ireland India Institute, a multi-disciplinary institute committed to support collaboration in education, research and knowledge exchange between Ireland and India. DCU has a strong track record in social sciences PhD training. It currently coordinates 3 ITNs in the social sciences (1 finishing April 2017), and also has institutional experience as lead of a EJD in Physics (in the old Erasmus scheme).

The National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO)

The National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) is a unique teaching and research institution founded in 1795. Over the course of three centuries, Inalco has become an institution of unrivalled scope for teaching languages from all over the world. The Institution is at the core of contemporary debates on social sciences, dealing with politics, economics, religions, societies, by bringing a unique perspective from original sources in local languages. With a faculty of 333 professors and researchers and 14 research centres covering studies in Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania, INALCO offers a stimulating environment in which to teach and conduct research. Inalco is affiliated with Université de Paris, a major player in higher education and research worldwide with 62,800 students, 4,500 faculty members, 3,000 technical and administrative staff, and 142 research labs. Université de Paris currently has branches in Singapore, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. Inalco enjoys a network of 200 international partners while conducting research projects in over one hundred countries and offers joint programs with foreign universities. The institute also offers distance courses via videoconferencing and online learning content. Inalco has a high-quality doctoral school (308 students) that offers seminars directly dedicated to plurilingualism and education, a world-renown university press and a unique library, “BULAC”, with one of the best collection of specialized volumes in various languages. Inalco aims for excellence, which is confirmed by the numerous prizes and awards obtained by its research centres, PHD students and teachers/researchers over the years.

Aleksanteri Institute (AI) at Helsingin Yliopisto (University of Helsinki)

Helsingin Yliopisto (the University of Helsinki, HU) is the oldest University in Finland. The Aleksanteri Institute (AI) is the Finnish Centre for Russian and Eastern European Studies at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, and a major European research and training centre on Russia and Eastern Europe. It functions as a national centre of research, study and expertise pertaining to Russia and Eastern Europe. The institute promotes cooperation and interaction between the academic world, public administration, business life and civil society, both in Finland and abroad. The AI coordinated an Academy of Finland-funded Finnish Centre for Excellence in Russian studies “Choices of Russian Modernisation” in 2012-2017, with a continuation until 2020 with the University of Helsinki funding. In 2017-2018, the capacity of the AI is further strengthened with the opening of five new tenured professorships in Russian studies, four postdoctoral positions and three new university lectureships. The AI is also a hub of international top-level scholarship on Russia and Eastern Europe hosting a Visiting Fellows Programme hosting annually c. 15 high-level short-term scholars from abroad, invited based on a competition. Starting from August 2018, the Aleksanteri Institute and the Faculty of Arts will start an English-language Master’s Programme in Russian studies, “Russia and Global Context”.

Tallinn University of Technology

Tallinn University of Technology (TUT) was established in 1918 and includes 8 faculties: Civil Engineering, Power Engineering, Information Technology, Chemical and Materials Technology, Science, Mechanical Engineering, Social Sciences and School of Economics and Business Administration. The University has 13000 students and 2000 employees, including 152 professors. In 2013, it was ranked first amongst the Baltic universities, according to the QS World University Rankings. In the last 10 years TUT has participated in 47 FP7 projects (acted as a coordinator in 8) and is currently involved in 10 Horizon2020 projects (2 ERC grants and one ERA Chair).

University of Latvia

The Faculty of Business, management and economics is the largest faculty of the University of Latvia; we offer studies and scientific research in the field of economics, management and public administration, which correspond to the contemporary needs of Latvia, EU and other countries. Currently, the faculty offers 4 programs taught completely in English to applicants from all over the world. University of Latvia is a member of several International projects, networks and programs which offers to student’s different kind of mobility types, study mobility, traineeship mobility research mobility etc. This gives an amazing possibility to our students to gain international study/ work experience during studies. The Faculty of Business, management and economics offer several PhD programmes in English.

Economic Policy Research Center

The Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC) is a think-and do-tank that brings to light the most pressing economic issues confronting society and provides thorough analysis on economic issues, offers evidence-based recommendations as well as it encourages stimulating public debate and education. EPRC was established in 2002 and from the very beginning has played an active role in linking civil society and the public sector, providing guidance and advice in various fields of public policy, budget oversight, and monitoring the implementation of the major state and donor-funded programs. EPRC has earned a reputation of an objective, reliable and non-partisan source of information on the issues related to economic, financial and social policies.

SIAR Research and Consult

Founded in 1998, SIAR is a research and consulting company based in Bishkek and operating in Central Asia (including Afghanistan and Mongolia) and in the Caucasus region. Since 1998 it has completed more than 350 assignments in the areas of education, migration, medicine, economy, business environment. The agency has served clients such as GALLUP, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, EBRD, GTZ, UNDP, UNICEF, IRI, USAID, TACIS, JICA, ILO, IMO, Coca Cola Bishkek Bottlers.

Academy of Public Administration under the President of Belarus

Unique among Belarusian higher educational establishments and the sole to hold a high presidential status, BELAPA is the national think-tank and research hub on public policy and government issues and the state’s leading undergraduate and postgraduate school for training, re-training, in-service training and professional advancement of domestic and foreign public administrators and policy makers, incumbent and aspiring leaders.

University of Latvia

KIMEP is founded in January 1992 and located in Almaty, the business capital and largest city in Kazakhstan. It operates 25 years as a premier business and applied social sciences institute in Central Asia and one of the best Universities of the CIS. Our degrees are based on the American credit and grading system. All programs are instructed in English. There are 16 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Business, Economics, Law, Public Administration, International Relations, Journalism and Language Teaching. KIMEP is fully licensed and attested by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Education and Science and passed five-year state attestation from the Ministry of Education and Science in April 2013.. KIMEP University is accredited by AQ Austria (accreditation for all undergraduate and graduate degree programs) and by ACA, AFBE, FIBAA, EAPAA and others. Out of 167 faculty members, 61 are holders of Western PhD degree. International faculty members come from 20 different countries, including the USA, the UK, Canada, Italy and Russia.KIMEP University has more than 100 international partner universities, 10 dual-degree programs with top universities, around 300 KIMEP students going on exchange each year, 110 international students coming to KIMEP and more than 350 international students study at KIMEP.
